Piedmont's Collins leads County with 53 wins

Six Union County wrestlers reached at least 40 wins in the regular season for 2019-20, and another 16 won 30 matches or more.

Piedmont High junior Tripp Collins, who won an individual 3A state title last season, had the best record in Union County during the regular season at 53-1. Junior Jake Cauble, also of Piedmont, finished 49-5 in the regular season. Three Piedmont wrestlers eclipsed 40 wins in the regular season, including Colby Locklear (46-12).

Parkwood also had three 40-match winners in the regular season, including senior Amir Joseph (44-6) and sophomores Caleb Simpson (40-13) and Cody Hardy (40-3).
